Just a quick post to announce what many of you will already know. Jeremy at Jacky Winter and I are co-repping Beci and Jonathan. That means that I will still be representing them but we will have the advantage of all of Jeremy’s amazing resources like Basecamp to help facilitate our work. So if you’re a fan, call either one of us – practically speaking, if you’re in Sydney, call me, and if you’re a Melbourne client, call Jeremy. But if you like talking to me, call me, and if you like talking to Jeremy, call Jeremy.

Jonathan just did this incredible poster for The Selby. You might remember The Selby’s shots of Jonathan and Annie’s place? The poster was put onto Style.com – for those of you who know anything about fashion, that’s a huge nod. The poster really reflects the randomness of the ‘things’ people keep in their homes. Well it does to me anyway.

My site recently received props from the man I believe to be the foremost design commentator in this country. He recently wrote a State-of Design article that received lots of Twitter attention around the world. Michael write a little piece about the agency which you can see here: http://linefeed.presspublish.info/2692 and a great article about Beci which you can see here http://linefeed.presspublish.info/2690
The linefeed site design is unpretentious even taking unpretentiousness to the extreme of not being ironically minimal in its design. Wow, that’s a complicated statement but it’s the best way I can describe my observation. If you care about design, check it out. It’s quite all-encompassing and caters to the pedestrian use of design, including user experience of city design, as well as speaking to the design nerd.

Beci did this gorgeous ident for me a while back and now Caravan is live, I can show it. The brief was for it to have a gypsy feel. The site was a project Damien and I did together and it’s a sublet and housing swap resource for creatives only. Us traveling Wolkensteins could have really used a resource like this over the past few years, so I decided to build it myself. To see the ident in context (or why don’t you just go nuts and place a free listing?) click here.

I have two really expensive silk scarves. One is Matthew Williamson and the other is Alexander McQueen. I have been known to team them with $40 American Apparel wife beaters, and cheap as chips Zara basics and people think I am minted. It’s true. Scarves are a much better ‘investment’ piece than bags or shoes. And the other best thing about scarves is that they don’t date. Go look for an Hermes scarf on eBay and tell me if you can find one for under $200 even at 30 years old. The prints become an icon of the time rather than a nasty reminder of a trend. Tru$t Fun’s digitally printed fractal scarves are available here . The site has been redesigned. Check out Fashematics (which the mainstream mags seem to so love ripping off at the moment). And buy a scarf. Grazia Magazine and RUSSH magazine think it’s a great idea. Grazia ran two bits of editorial (Mark Vassallo knows a good thing when he sees it) and RUSSH has a DPS. Lyn and Tony shot the scarves and the shots are nothing short of incredible.
(Note: Tru$t Fun is Jonathan Zawada, Annie Wright, and Shane Sakkeus)

I wanted to post a piece about Jonathan’s zine, kindly printed by Izrock publishing. But it has already sold out. I’m too late. This might be interesting info for the group at Clemenger BBDO who met with me and Lucy and Jonathan last week. A few of those guys got a free copy so guys, if you’re reading this, you now know you have a rare piece in your possession. It might be worth a great deal soon. Thanks for seeing us. Here are some samples of the amazing pics in the zine.

The Selby’s images of Jonathan and Annie’s place have FINALLY been uploaded. There were lots of cute shots, but I have featured my favourite here as the first time I went to Jonathan and Annie’s house, the scene was exactly like this. Tea and Annie’s home made caramel slice.

Bon weekend to all.

Beci completed this great little campaign for Simply Energy. The concept, if you don’t get it from the pictures – which you should! – is ‘Reduce the Badness’. Eliminate all the horrid things in your life – witches, spilt wine, monsters, all of it! Including massive energy bills. It’s super cute and I LOVE the palette. Big hats off to the guys at BBDO for taking a risk with colour! It should read ‘Reduce the Blandness’. Should be more of it. Click the images to see a larger version.
