Lucy here again.
Gen’s great pic of the wizarding triumph Mr Danial Radcliffe was in The Guardian magazine on 4th July 2009. It was going to run as a cover but got booted last minute with the news of MJ’s passing.
This shot was taken under the Westgate Bridge in Melbourne, 100% natural light on 35 mm and Gen even had the luxury of bodyguards on hand.

Lucy here.
These are the start of a new personal project taken at a Pony Club in Central Victoria. Held once a month and attracts kids from throughout the region. This is an ongoing personal project that is looking at the relationship between girls and their horses and which will give Gen a good excuse to get out of the city each month! The girls range in age from primary school age through to early 20’s.

Anyone who has worked in the UK will know that shooting for Sunday Times Style means phones ringing for advertising work the following Monday. Jon shot this cover and beauty story (remember what having a tan was like? Seems like years ago…) A while back I predicted a trend that colour would be back in photography. I feel vindicated.

So after years and years of working constantly despite not having a website, Jon has joined the consensus and decided that a web site might be a good idea. It is really comprehensive and beautifully laid out. A lesson to all you photographers out there who go for tricksy flash sites. On the topic of web sites, I just wanted to say thanks to Cameron for speaking at Trampoline in my place last night. He gave a really good talk to the group on what makes a good site and what doesn’t (from an art buyer’s perspective). I think he would be pleased with Jon’s.

Gen shot the latest Shibui campaign at dawn on the Victorian Coast. She also managed to get some amazing Super8 footage of Holly (probably pretty easy to do given Holly is AMAZING!) Where does Gen find this light? It’s so soft and un-Australian. I love Holly’s hair cut. If only I was 10 years younger. Oh, and stunning. Holly’s booker is Helena at Work for anyone who is interested.

My personal favourite is archive 3 on the photography site. It reminds me of our trip to Shanghai together. Excellent fun. Those kids are a far cry from what communist China would have looked like only 30 years ago. Keep spending, youth of China – we’re counting on you!
